After experiencing her own childhood arm injury, Maegan Catchpole became highly motivated to be an Occupational Therapist and a Certified Hand Therapist. Since receiving her Bachelors in Exercise and Sports Science at Oregon State University and her Masters of Occupational Therapy at the University of Washington, Maegan has worked in several specialties including mental health, industrial rehabilitation, and upper extremity orthopaedics. As a Certified Hand Therapist she enjoys providing total upper body rehabilitation from shoulder to fingertip for those experiencing neurological impairments, repetitive stress injuries, wound care needs, post-operative recovery, and other orthopaedic diagnoses. With her personal and clinical background, Maegan enjoys getting to the bottom of her patients’ symptoms and says, “I know from experience that just because something is screaming the loudest doesn’t mean that it's always the source of the problem.” Maegan is licensed by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts, Registered by the National Board of Occupational Therapy, and certified by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission, in addition to her memberships in the American Society of Occupational Therapy and American Society of Hand Therapists. Maegan is also a staff lecturer for an international hand therapist mentorship program, so she works to keep up on the latest in the field. When not in the clinic or refining her skills, Maegan can be found spending time with her husband Scott and her dog Winnie. She also enjoys crocheting, furniture restoration, cooking/baking, biking, yoga, and being a good friend.
