Amy Buckner has been a physical therapist assistant since 1999. She has practiced in orthopaedics for the majority of that time, but has also practiced in home health and skilled nursing. Amy has a strong interest in utilizing exercise programs and education to help return her patients to the activities they enjoy. She is excited to return to an outpatient orthopaedic setting where she is able to work within an interdisciplinary team to promote health and wellness in patients and provide continuity of care.
Amy earned an Associates of Applied Science degree from the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Owens Community College in Perrysburg, Ohio, and went on to receive her Bachelors of Applied Science in Human Resource Development at Southwestern College in Winfield, KS. She is a Certified Physical Therapist Assistant with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.
Amy enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, hiking and camping. She also enjoys scrapbooking, and watching Detroit Lions football and Kansas Jayhawk basketball.
